Client: IxDA Design Charrette
Output: Improve Wellbeing by using personal data.
Re-Motive is a smart scheduler for Google calendar, designed to help give parents, or other caregivers, who work from home additional time for themselves during the day. Encouraging them to care for their own mental wellbeing in small ways.

This project was part of the IxDA competition in which I was a finalist. I, along with two other designers, collaborated from seperate sides of the globe to rethink how our personal data could help improve wellbeing. As this was during the pandemic working from home was being closely studied and it was our own lived experience at the time.

This video summarises the project. If you want to see Re-Motive in action please skip to 2.30 in the video.
Global Survey
We decided to take advantage of our global collaboration, Anna Shreit in Hungary, Shriyash Shete in the U.S and myself in Ireland. We produced a global survey in which we gained a huge amount of valuable information from 150 participants from 12 countries. Below is the Miro board of survey results and workshopping.

We found:
62%
said their Work and Personal time was not separated.
55% had a 'Poor Wellbeing' score on the WHO-5 questionnaire.
70% would like to continue working remotely in some capacity.

We interviewed people from this survey to see who was in most need of an intervention and we found those who juggle remote work while also providing care to a loved one were the most in need. We then interviewed caregivers, prototyped with them and this led to Re-Motive.
